Set on Maine’s iconic Moosehead Lake, Lily Bay State Park offers spacious sites shaded by birch and spruce with many right on the shoreline.
Anglers chase landlocked salmon from shore or boat, while families build driftwood forts on the gentle beach.
A 1.3‑mile Shoreline Trail connects the two loops and features moose tracks and loon calls at dawn.
Cell coverage is limited; a pay phone and firewood shed sit by the ranger station.
Winter campers must ski or snowmobile 1 mile from the plowed lot but are rewarded with pristine ice and quiet.
